Dr. Ketki Raje was born and brought up in Bombay, India! She went to Bombay Veterinary College and graduated in 2010. She decided to become a vet when she was 10 years old and came across a story of a zoo tiger in India being treated for a tooth root abscess and a subsequent root canal that saved his canine. Ever since then, she loved watching Steve Irwin, Jeff Corwin and David Attenborough shows and eventually schooled to get into vet school. After graduating, she went on to do a masters in Surgery & Radiology from College of Veterinary Sciences, GADVASU, Punjab and worked as a mixed animal veterinarian for 3 years before coming to the US in 2015. She did a masters in Epidemiology from University of California, Davis while simultaneously acquiring licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the US. She further completed a small animal Emergency and Critical Care internship from Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists, Wisconsin in 2018 and worked as an emergency veterinarian for a year before moving to Mexico! She lived 2 years in Mexico City and 2 years in Cancun where she exclusively practiced small animal emergency medicine and critical care and learnt to speak perfect Spanish. She returned to the US in 2023 and has been working mostly as general and urgent care practitioner with some emergency as well. She joined Pelham Animal Hospital in April 2025 and looks forward to bring her experience and skills to those of the team's.
